Nanjing Qinheng Microelectronics Co., Ltd. founded in 2004, is an IC communication interface and full-stack MCU Design Company.

Qinheng specializes in connectivity technology and MCU core development. The company operates a full-stack development model based on self-developed transceiver PHY and processor IP instead of traditionally outsourcing IP integration models. Qinheng provides Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB and PCI interface chips, alongside connectivity/interconnectivity/wireless full-stack MCU+ microcontrollers integrated with these interfaces.

Self-developed Core IP, SOC combinations and hardware-software combination with multi-level microprocessor cores. Our self-developed 8-bit RISC, E8051 and qingke 32-bit RISC-V cores have been applied at large scale and this allows us to focus on application optimization. We design the microcontroller to match specific characteristics of the intended applications. This includes transferring parts of hardware into embedded software or transferring embedded software into hardware to realize our implementations, which in turn lowers cost and increases flexibility. Based on 8-bit RISC core, we achieved ultimate cost-effective dedicated functional MCUs. Based on E8051 core, we achieved functional and hardware-controlled MCUs with lower learning thresholds. Based on RISC-V core, we achieved general-purpose and high-speed interface MCUs. For high-speed communication, the emerging technology of VTF has been introduced to greatly improve interrupt response speed. We are pioneers in extending byte/half-word compression for protocol stack applications. We pioneered extending WFE instructions for low-power applications in order to speed up response times. The world’s first self-developed RISC-V core general-purpose MCU was our product. It was also the first RISC-V general-purpose MCU with two-wire debugging interfaces, higher speed and less I/O resource occupation.

Upper-and-lower interoperability and cross-platform mobile interconnection. Qinheng has been focusing on communication protocols and interface connection technologies for a considerably long time, providing a variety of interface chips and special MCUs embedded with professional interfaces. In addition to chip design teams, we also have teams specializing in upper computer hardware and embedded software teams. There are also teams specializing in lower computers, servers, and core cloud platform systems. As well as software, assisting in upper (System software)-lower (Embedded software) interoperability, virtual transformation, cross-platform mobile interconnection and application transition. We also provide underlying kernel drivers, communication connection libraries and APP tools, for Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS, WeChat and many other operating systems and platforms. All these seamlessly connect and collaborate software with hardware, helping turn stand-alone devices into networked devices, enhancing the value added of end products, and providing customers with system-level solutions.

After years of deep studies and research, Qinheng has provided customers with hundreds of chips and technical solutions. Thousands of companies around the world have adopted our chips when developing their electronic products. Over 100 million devices are connected through WCH chips, and more than 100 million USB series chips are shipped every year. Qinheng manages test factories through a self-burning platform, and the number of chips that are burned in the target program by the test factories for MCU customers reaches a million level every month.
